Murti at his Temple in Kianchi, India, at the request of Sri Siddhi Ma
for Ram Dass. Vocals by the Mangal Vaar Sundar-Kand Path singers,
Hanumanghar Temple, Nainital India. Recorded October, 2003
The Ramayana is the story
of Sri Rama, the Avatar of Vishnu and is composed of kand's (chapters) that
are named for specific purpose. Example, in the Balakanda there is a
description of Sri Rama's childhood; the Ayodhya-Kanda describes the
occurrences in Ayodhya. The Sundar-Kanda is known as the
Beautiful Chapter as it contains the description of Sri Rama's beauty
and virtues.
Consciousness has lost His
Divine Nature to the Ego. Leaving the Kingdom in the care of his brother.
Who Manifests the light of Wisdom. He sets out to get her back. Along with
Brother Determination, Pure Devotion, Excellent Friend. Discrimination and a
whole host of monkeys and bears, they locate the Queen of the Land of
Eternal Peace, and prepare for the impending battle. After struggling with
Ego, ultimately Consciousness brings about his demise
